BMW trusted us to produce their first Full AI commercials under real production conditions. The brief was to use AI consistently throughout the entire production process. We still see AI as a tool - not the only tool.
For BMW Highway Assistant, we staged assisted driving as a quiet, slightly surreal test of confidence.
A BMW driver moves across a vast salt flat. Alongside her, a man on a unicycle rides hands-free, juggling with complete self-assurance. For a moment, he seems to own the idea of control - until the driver calmly takes her hands off the wheel and lets the BMW take over.
The film sits deliberately just outside reality. Not completely surreal, but far enough from the everyday to make the feature feel light, memorable and cinematic. From a production perspective, this was one of the most interesting challenges. A hands-free unicyclist, juggling in motion, next to a moving car on an almost unreal landscape: the scene depends on physicality, balance, timing and a very specific tone. It has to feel effortless, even though everything about it is technically difficult. Full AI production allowed us to shape this world with a high degree of freedom. The salt flat, the performance, the movement and the slight strangeness of the scene could be developed into one coherent visual language.
The result is not a technical explanation of assisted driving. It is a small cinematic moment about control without effort.
