For Personal Ambient Light, we turned a light feature into a character moment.
The film stages a quiet encounter between a BMW and a chameleon - two worlds responding to each other through colour, movement and rhythm. As the Ambient Light shifts, the chameleon adapts. Until the BMW moves through colour with a speed and fluidity even nature cannot quite follow.
This was one of the films where the potential of full AI production became especially clear. A realistic chameleon performance would traditionally involve a complex CGI pipeline: modelling, animation, look development, texturing, rigging, lighting and compositing. The challenge would not only be realism, but behaviour. With AI, we were able to create an animal character that feels present, reactive and alive. The details mattered: small movements, timing, eye contact, colour transitions and the sense that the chameleon is not just visible in the scene, but performing within it.
The film works because the feature is not demonstrated. It is given a counterpart.A small story about light, reaction and personality - and the moment technology feels almost alive.
